Pattern & Texture

When we use the word "Pattern" many things may come to mind. The checkered pattern of your tiled floor. The pattern of the curtains on the windows. Or the pattern the seamstress uses to cut the material for the clothes being sewn.

Pattern can relate to our daily lives, and the patterns we have, or want/need to change.

But this is a design blog, and I will not delve into your psyche, so let's discuss Pattern & Texture as it relates to design.  Pattern(s) can be simple, colorful, plain, detailed, and completely one of a kind.

 Pattern
is usually a repetitive theme, and/or color.
